I concepted and designed lyric videos for two Nashville-based singer-songwriters’ new releases. I led art direction and developed visual approaches that aligned with each artist’s tone, then executed through compositing and animation in After Effects. The work focused on pairing typography, motion, and imagery to create cohesive visual narratives that enhanced the songs while remaining clear and engaging across digital platforms.

To reflect Erin Rae’s vintage aesthetic and emotionally layered songwriting, I composed visuals featuring the artist framed behind a window pane, creating a scene reminiscent of mid-century storefront displays. Handwritten lyrics were scanned and integrated in After Effects, adding a personal, diary-like texture that reinforced the intimacy of the track.
Daniella Mason needed a set of lyric videos for her album, each reflecting a distinct emotional tone per track. I used flickering neon elements and shifting gradients to build a flexible visual system, adapting the motion and pacing for each song. “Nightshapes” leans into a sultry, dreamlike atmosphere, “Cover The Earth” draws on celestial and spiritual themes, and “Cruel Summer” captures the fleeting, youthful energy of short-lived romance.
